TMG Employees Cheer on Panasonic Toyota Racing at the Grand Prix of Europe
The seventh race of the 2005 F1 series saw a tremendous turnout of fans from TMG (Toyota Motorsport Gmbh), headquarters of Panasonic Toyota Racing, who cheered on drivers Jarno Trulli and Ralf Schumacher throughout the race weekend. Here are a few pictures telling the story of the wonderful time enjoyed by all.
The seventh race in the F1 grand prix 2005 season (May 29) was the Grand Prix of Europe, held at the Nurburgring circuit in Germany.
The trip to the circuit from the TMG headquarters in Cologne is about one hour by car. The proximity between the circuit and TMG headquarters means that Panasonic Toyota Racing has the luxury of working on the development of aerodynamic parts up until just a few hours before the start of the race. TMG considers the GP of Europe as its “home” grand prix.
Over the course of three days, 600 TMG employees and their families came to the circuit to support their team. The company even set up a temporary cafeteria inside the circuit grounds for the convenience and enjoyment of their employees.
Unfortunately, Panasonic Toyota Racing was unable to win a spot on the podium this race, but the loyal TMG fans were treated to a first-hand experience with the new spec engine in Jarno’s car, cheering louder and louder each time they heard (and felt!) the powerful exhaust note of the updated TF105.
