2005 grand prix
On 29 May 2005, the Grand Prix of Europe was the seventh race of the F1 World Championship Series. Jarno Trulli secured P4 on the starting grid, but just prior to the start, his engine wouldn't fire in the allotted time, and he was assessed a drive-through penalty. Meanwhile, Ralf Schumacher started the race from P8. Unfortunately, he was caught up in a multi-car crash in the first corner, receiving damage to his front wing. These incidents conspired to relegate both cars to the back of the pack during the first stint, making it a very tough race. Even so, Jarno, who had a slightly heavier fuel load, was able to gradually move up in position, ultimately finishing in the points at 8th. Ralf eventually retired from the race.
