The F1 battle heats up in the French summer!   track information

The Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours, located in the Magny-Cours suburbs of the Loire region of France, is the site of the French Grand Prix. This course hosted its first F1 World Championship race in 1991. The circuit is arranged with a nice balance of high-speed sections, low-speed sections and chicanes, and an average degree of track surface grip. The Adelaide hairpin at the end of the long straightaway is one overtaking point that always sees a heated battle every year.

2005 grand prix

Held on July 3, 2005, the French Grand Prix was the tenth race of the season. Jarno qualified P2, starting from the front row for the fourth time. Still feeling the effects of his injuries from the United States Grand Prix, Ralf qualified 11th. During the opening of the race, Jarno desperately defended his position in second, but his rear tires gradually lost grip, causing problems. In addition, our strategy of having Jarno run a longer second stint backfired, causing him to drop in position. Meanwhile, Ralf drove a clean race, steadily moving up in position. Ultimately, Jarno fished 5th, and Ralf finished 7th-another dual points finish for Panasonic Toyota Racing.
