Qualifying Position Determines Success at this Legendary Race!
The stage for the sixth race of the season will be the legendary Grand Prix of Monaco. The city closes its streets for one weekend, providing a classic street course winding past luxury hotels and high-fashion boutiques. Overtaking is almost impossible on this narrow, twisting course, which means qualifying results will be particularly important. The total race distance for Monaco is approximately 260km, shorter than the approximately 300km of most F1 races. Another unique aspect of the Grand Prix of Monaco is that the first day of practice is held on a Thursday, with the course closed on Friday. We expect a strong race from Jarno, who has won this Grand Prix before.
2007 grand prix The GP of Monaco was the fifth race of the year last year, held on May 27. Unable to avoid traffic during qualifying, Jarno and Ralf started the race from P14 and P20, respectively. Immediately after the start, both cars were swept up in the confusion, dropping several positions before recovering to drive a steady pace. This year, the race was unusually free of turbulent events. Jarno and Ralf finished at P15 and P16, respectively.
