The Start of the Summer European Round!
The French Grand Prix will be the eighth race of the season, slated for the Circuit de Nevers Magny–Cours located in the Magny–Cours suburbs of the Loire region of France. Last year, 70% of the course was resurfaced, and the new surface characteristics presented quite a few challenges for teams and drivers. How will things turn out this year? The long straight and the following Adelaide hairpin are the generally acknowledged overtaking points on this circuit. The battles between Jarno, Timo and the rest of the drivers in this section will be a must–see for race fans.
2007 grand prix The 2007 French GP was held on July 1. Jarno started on the grid at P8, but came into contact with another car in the first hairpin. The collision damaged his front suspension, knocking him out of the race. Starting from P11, Ralf was caught up in the confusion during the first lap, losing several spots. Ralf turned in strong lap times, steadily gaining position, and finishing the race at P10.
