Shooting for the Top at Hockenheim for the First Time in Two Years

The 10th race of the season will be at Hockenheim, once again called the “German Grand Prix” (last year’s race at the Nurburgring was dubbed the “European GP”). The course starts with a long straight into a hairpin, and then continues to a low– and medium–speed section called the Stadium Section. Of course, this is considered a home race, both by Panasonic Toyota Racing (headquartered in Germany) and Timo Glock, a native son.

2006 grand prix*German GP was not held in 2007
The last German GP at Hockenheim was held on July 30, 2006 (the 12th race of the 2006 season). An engine change forced Jarno to start the race at P20. But Jarno turned in a splendid performance, finishing at P7 and winning two championship points for the team. Ralf started the race at P8, dropping position after a collision with another car. Ralf fought back, though, finishing at P9.
