Spa Sets the Stage Amid Natural Beauty
The 13th race of 2008 will be the Belgian Grand Prix, held at the 7.004–km–long Spa–Francorchamps course. Each year, the teams are tested by the ever–changing weather, a feature of the Ardennes region, and each year, teams are worried about rain on race day. At the famous “Eau Rouge” corner, drivers are on full throttle as they steer right and then left up a sharp slope. This is a course that will not only test the total strength of the car, but also the skills and courage of Jarno and Timo.
2007 grand prix The 14th race of the 2007 season, the Belgian GP was held for the first time in two years on September 16. Jarno and Ralf started the race from P8 and P10 on the grid, respectively. Immediately after the start, the two drivers changed positions, with Ralf climbing to P9. Selecting a one–stop strategy, Ralf continued fighting for an in–the–points finish during the last leg of the race, ultimately finishing at P10. Jarno battled with the cars in the middle of the pack, finishing at P11.
