What will Happen at the Last Race of the Year?
The only F1 Grand Prix held in South America, the 18th and final race of the year will be the Brazilian GP, held at the Autodromo Carlos Pace, located at Interlagos in the outskirts of Sao Paolo. This hilly, counterclockwise circuit is tough on both car and driver. Last year, this grueling, live–or–die race determined the world champion. Jarno brought home one championship point for the team in the dramatic season finale. What drama awaits us this year?
2007 grand prix The 17th and final race of the 2007 season was the Brazilian GP, held on October 21. The race started under blistering heat, with 37°C ambient temperatures, a track surface temperature of 64°C, and 31% humidity. Jarno started the race at P8 on the grid, and selected a three–stop strategy. With only 14 cars finishing this battle for survival, Jarno captured P8 and one championship point. Ralf started the race from P15, but collided with another car immediately after the start of the race. He steadily regained position to finish at P11 in his final race with Panasonic Toyota Racing.
