While Jarno Trulli returned to the circuit in good spirits to continue his test agenda, which included set-up configurations in the morning and tyre testing in the afternoon, Ralf Schumacher took over from Olivier Panis in TF106/01. He concentrated on different aspects of the team's tyre and set-up schedules. Although the low morning temperatures in Barcelona delayed the drivers they both reported positive results and a productive day.
GREAT EXPECTATIONS
Jarno Trulli built on his strong first day and went home happy after more useful Bridgestone tyre evaluation.

"Generally my test has been very good. Bridgestone has brought in some new tyres that have definitely made a step forward. There is still some work to do but we are stronger on both speed and consistency and that is good to see. We have done a longer run with some tyres we felt suited the car and the results were very positive. I think we can have high expectations for the year."
ALL SYSTEMS GO

"I am feeling positive. We worked today on various systems checks and set-ups as well as the basic tyre work which is ongoing and bringing good results. We still have work to do but there is still six weeks before the first race and so we have time. It is hard to say exactly where everyone is at the moment, there is much variation in the testing, but I am confident that we will be in good shape for Bahrain."
BARCELONA BLARNEY
Team manager Richard Cregan joined his first test of the year.
Richard Cregan - Team Manager
"I think we've had a good day, a good result, we've made some interesting discoveries with the tyres that show good progress. We can see that the co-operation with Bridgestone is working well and that they are responding to requests and trying to help in every way. We changed an engine today, on Jarno's car, which cost us a couple of hours running time replacing it. This is nothing that we are too concerned about and pushing performance limits is one of the reasons we test. But set-up and tyre work were the major aspects today and both were very successful.
