Silverstone Test Day 2
25.06.2008
Location:  Silverstone, United Kingdom
Drivers:  Jarno Trulli
Track Length:  5.141km

SECONDS OUT

Jarno Trulli returned to the cockpit of the TF108 today for the first time since his hard won podium at Sunday’s French Grand Prix. The Italian arrived from Magny–Cours to take over driving duties for Panasonic Toyota Racing on day two of this week’s Silverstone test. After an overcast morning that brought a brief shower, conditions improved and the drivers were able to enjoy dry running for most of the day. Jarno enjoyed a trouble–free day’s work on set–up for next week’s British Grand Prix along with aerodynamic development. He set the second fastest lap of the day on a late run. Timo Glock will take over tomorrow for the last day of the test.

Best lap time: 1m 20.391s
Position: 2nd
Total laps: 95
Total distance: 488.4km

“Today’s main focus was preparation for the British Grand Prix and it was a good day. We managed to do a lot of laps and we learned several useful things. It all went smoothly and we ran without any real issues. There was a lot of gusting wind out there today, which can make direct comparisons difficult. Still, we made some progress with our set-up and aerodynamics programme. We are obviously looking to build on our result at last Sunday's French Grand Prix. Now I hope we will be in good shape for another strong race here next week.”

Gerd Pfeiffer – Test Team Manager

"The weather was kind to us today, despite looking ominous early on. We had a brief shower halfway through the morning but apart from that we had a dry track to work on. That gave us plenty of time to make it through our programme of aerodynamics and set–up work for next week’s British Grand Prix. There were a few interruptions for red flags but Jarno had a solid day's work and we made some good progress. Now we will look to continue the momentum with Timo as we wrap up the test tomorrow."
