FIA/FIM World Rally Raid Championship (W2RC) opening race is the Dakar Rally 2024 is going to start from Al Ula on the west coast of Saudi Arabia on January 5th. From there, the route continues across the central section to the east, bisecting vast dunes known as the feared Empty Quarter. The goal is a final finish in Yanbu on January 19th.
* 48H Chrono Stage: A 600 km competition stage where teams aim to reach the goal within 48 hours without the support of mechanics in the Empty Quarter (Rub al-Khali desert in southern Arabian Peninsula).
