― Decided at the final round of the GR Supra GT Cup, a global online race concluding the 2020 e-Motorsports season ― On Friday December 18th, the finals of the GR Supra GT Cup, a one-make race using the PlayStation®4（PS4® below）software Gran Turismo SPORT was held, and 24 representatives from around the world gathered at the online circuit. Takuma Miyazono (Japan) was awarded the championship and became the world’s fastest GR Supra GT driver of 2020.

The 2020 Dakar Rally has reached the finish line! Firstly, I would like to offer my appreciation to all the competitors for finishing these 8,000 km of tough roads. Nasser and Mathieu: congratulations for the second position overall with Hilux. It’s unfortunate that you missed the second victory in a row which we promised before the rally, but your charge in the second half of the rally was really impressive. The 2020 Dakar Rally drew to a close near the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh after Stage 12 of the iconic event which saw TOYOTA GAZOO Racing’s Nasser Al-Attiyah and navigator Mathieu Baumel win the final stage. The pair pushed hard to close the gap to the leaders, which stood at 10min 17sec after the penultimate stage.

All four TOYOTA GAZOO Racing crews made it safely back to the bivouac at Haradh after Stage 11, where the team’s technical crews were on stand by to service and prepare the Toyota Hilux for the final stage of the 2020 Dakar Rally. The 744-kilometre penultimate stage took crews from the Marathon Bivouac at Shubaytah which included a special stage of 379 kilometres starting with 80 kilometres of dune crossings.

Fernando Alonso and navigator Marc Coma made their mark on the 2020 Dakar Rally posting the second fastest time across the finish line on Stage 8, narrowly missing out on their first-ever stage win by just 4min 4sec. The pair were the fastest of the four TOYOTA GAZOO Racing crews on the 477-kilometre looped stage which started and ended at Wadi Al Dawasir.

TOYOTA GAZOO Racing crews performed steadily on Stage 5 of the 2020 Dakar Rally as the race moved from the spectacular scenery around Al Ula to the north-western agricultural city of Ha’il. While the mostly sandy terrain meant fewer punctures, the crews’ consistent performance did not deliver the race result improvements anticipated.
