01. Outline of 2013 Dakar Rally
The 2013 Dakar Rally will be held across the 3 countries of Peru, Argentina and Chile
The 8,000 km route of the race starts in Lima, Peru on January 5, passes through Argentina and finishes in Santiago, Chile on January 20.
Peru:
Drivers will race through the unprecedented desert stage immediately after the start, and will face severe and difficult conditions from the beginning, what has never been done before.
Argentina :
After travelling across the Andes mountain range to enter Argentina, where the terrain as well as the geology completely changes. Therefore, the drivers must change their driving style which tests their ability to adapt to any new environment.
Chile :
An extremely severe course where the sand hills continue to the very end. After entering into Chile, drivers must cross over the severe Andes mountain range again.
