Preview Practice Qualifying Race Review
A hot and humid ultra-modern circuit!

The second race of the 2007 season will be held at Malaysia's Sepang International Circuit. Having first hosted an F1 race in 1999, this circuit is known for its ultra-modern facilities and two long straight-aways. The track is wide, providing many dramatic overtaking scenes every year. The Sepang International Circuit is located a convenient 3.5km from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. The impressive building you can see near the final corner was designed using a hibiscus motif.

2006 grand prix
The 2006 Malaysian GP was held on March 19, approximately two weeks earlier than scheduled this year. Jarno started from P9 on the grid, but Ralph was forced to start from the back due to an engine change. On the first lap of the race, Jarno came into contact with another car, leaving him unable to increase his pace, and settled for a ninth-place finish. During the first lap, Ralf jumped up to P13, and his three-stop strategy helped him gain even more positions. In the end, Ralf finished P8, winning one point for Panasonic Toyota Racing.
