Sepang’s Scorching Heat Sets the Stage

The second race of the season will be held at Malaysia’s Sepang Circuit. Held only a week following the Australian GP, any teams with damaged cars will find themselves under considerable stress. Sepang is known for its ultra–modern facilities, two very long straights, and a wide track that always offers numerous exciting overtaking opportunities. Will Jarno finish in the points for the second straight year?

2007 grand prix
The Malaysian GP was held on April 8, 2007. The conditions were tremendously demanding on that day, with track temperatures reaching 58°C with 58% humidity. Jarno and Ralf secured P8 and P9 on the starting grid to begin the race. While Jarno fell back to P9 at one point in the race, he finished at P7, winning two championship points for Panasonic Toyota Racing. Tire troubles caused Ralf to fall back, but he held on to complete the race, finishing at P15.
