    TOYOTA GAZOO Racing GT Cup 2022

    Preparations for the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing GT Cup 2022 are currently underway.Details will be announced as soon as they are determined.
    Please note that TOYOTA GAZOO Racing GT Cup 2022 will be held in Gran Turismo 7.
    You can participate in either Gran Turismo 7 for PS4® or Gran Turismo 7 for PS5®.
    You cannot participate with Gran Turismo SPORT.

    Upgrades for Gran Turismo 7 for PS4® and PS5®
    If you purchased the standard edition of Gran Turismo 7 for PS4®, you can upgrade to the downloadable version for PS5®※.
    If you purchased the packaged version for PS4®, you will need a PS5® with a disc drive to upgrade to the downloadable version for PS5®.
    PS4® game discs cannot be used with the PS5® Digital Edition.

    With the cars and courses that will be included in Gran Turismo 7, you can look forward to an even more varied racing experience.

    On Friday December 3rd, the finals of the TGR GT Cup, a one-make race using the PlayStation®4 software Gran Turismo Sport was held, and 24 representatives from around the world gathered at the online circuit. Tomoaki Yamanaka (Japan) was awarded the championship and became the world’s fastest eTGR driver of 2021.

How to participate

    01

    Launch the game

    Switch on your PlayStation®4 or 5 console(“PS4”,“PS5”), and insert the Gran Turismo Sport game disc (if you intend to use the download version, please download the game from the PlayStation™Store and install it). Check that you are connected to the internet, and select the Gran Turismo Sport icon to launch the game.
    *If your PS4 or PS5 system software or your Gran Turismo Sport version is not up to date, you will be shown an update prompt on screen. You cannot select “SPORT” mode on Gran Turismo Sport unless both system software and game software are up to date.

    SPORT Mode

    When the title screen of Gran Turismo Sport appears on your display, click on the “SPORT” menu at the top-left of the screen, then select “Race Entry” from the drop-down menu. However, if you are using “SPORT” mode for the first time, you must select “Racing Etiquette” and watch two videos on Sportsmanship before you can participate.
    In addition, you will also have to agree to all the relevant Terms & Conditions for “SPORT” mode, and complete the “Sport Mode Registration Form” by entering a contact email address and your residence details.

    Purchase your car

    After selecting “Race Entry,” check that the “TOYOTA GAZOO Racing GT Cup” option is displayed; then, return to the main screen, and click on the “BRAND CENTRAL” menu to purchase your car.

    Purchasing your car using in-game credits:
    1. 1. Click on the “BRAND CENTRAL” menu at the top of the title screen.
    2. 2. Select “ASIA-PACIFIC” -> “TOYOTA” -> “Showroom”, in this order.
    3. 3. On the car selection screen choose the car for the round you want to participate in.
    4. 4. Select the bodycolor for your car from the color options at the bottom of the screen.
    5. 5. Select “Purchase” to purchase the car, using in-game Credits.
    Purchasing your car on the PlayStation™Store:
    1. 1. Click on the “BRAND CENTRAL” menu at the top of the title screen.
    2. 2. Select “ASIA-PACIFIC” -> “TOYOTA” -> “Showroom”, in this order.
    3. 3. On the car selection screen choose the car for the round you want to participate in.
    4. 4. Select the bodycolor for your car from the color options at the bottom of the screen.
    5. 5. Select “PlayStation™Store,” and you will be redirected to the PlayStation™Store purchase screen.
    6. 6. Select “Add to Basket” on the left-side of the screen, and you will be redirected to the shopping cart screen.
    7. 7. Select your favored payment method and purchase your car.

    Entry registration

    Return to the “TOYOTA GAZOO Racing GT Cup” option from the “Race Entry” menu, and register your entry. You can practice driving on the race course until entries open.

    From entry to race participation

    When the Entry Period begins, you will be able to click on the “Entry” button. After clicking on the “Entry” button, you can choose either to practice driving until your opponents have been confirmed, or wait until the race begins.

    Fill in the entry form and questionnaire to complete the registration

    * Go to gran-turismo.com entry page by clicking the “Entry” button.
    Sign in with an account for PlayStation®Network to be able to participate in the races, and complete your registration by filling in the questionnaire.
