Takamoto Katsuta, the first generation, and the second generation to follow him
Takamoto Katsuta, who is currently competing in the WRC top category, is the first generation of the program. When he joined this program, he had very little rally experience, but he learned steadily and grew to achieve his first second-place podium finish in Safari Rally Kenya 2021. He is still learning and continues to develop through his WRC challenge.
In the summer of 2021, TGR started recruiting the second generation. Among 60 applicants, Nao Otake, Hikaru Kogure, and Yuki Yamamoto were selected after the first document screening and the practical screening in Finland.
These three start the training in Finland from April, 2022 toward their aim to become WRC drivers in the future.
