Stage 2 started from Pisco, Peru across a loop shaped course.
The drivers aimed for the goal near the bivouac across a 242 km special stage (SS) after moving through the 85 km liaison section to the southeast. The same as in stage 1, the road surface was sandy, particularly in the latter half where the sand in the bivouac area was even softer. This course was an endurance stage for vehicles in the production group with heavy weights.
The plan for stage 3 on the 7th, takes the drivers on a 243 km special stage towards Nazca from Pisco on the inland side of the Andes Mountain Range.
